Our journey was first captured in First City Magazine as The Paharganj story (November 2006) in an interview titled “Palazzos and Spaghettis”, a moment that documented not only a shop, but the spirit behind it. That same understanding shapes THE PAHARGANJ.COM today.

The story begins with a simple, almost accidental glance while walking through Paharganj. Amid narrow lanes, crowded corridors, and walls hidden behind hanging fabrics, stood a small shop that didn’t shout for attention—but invited curiosity. That shop belonged to Om Prakash, the man whose instinct for fabric, color, and people shaped what The Paharganj stands for today.

Paharganj itself was transforming. Once known mainly for fashion stores, it slowly became a haven for travelers, students, and explorers looking for affordable style with character. Om Prakash understood this change early. He didn’t follow trends blindly—he watched people.
